Shira Piven, the older sister of actor Jeremy Piven and daughter of Byrne and Joyce Piven, is also an accomplished actress and acting instructor. She has appeared in numerous stage productions and wrote the screenplay for “Fully Loaded” (2011), a dark comedy about two single moms who cut loose for a night on the town.
Piven has also been active behind the camera, directing two films for writers Adam McKay and Will Ferrell, the latter of which earned him an Emmy nomination for his work in “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” (2004).
